Hilo

The brand layer over Anita — seven signature hues, the type estate, and the six rules that decide whether a mark belongs. Anita 2.11.0 remains the product UI system; Hilo governs character marks and lockups on top of it.

Body text is the platform’s own system face. It is the one place Hilo declines to have an opinion: the reader’s device already knows what a paragraph should look like, and shipping a webfont for body copy costs more than it returns.

Moods

The same palette, arranged five ways. Each mood declares its own type, ground, corner and accent — the specimens below are drawn from those declarations, so a mood that changes in the tokens changes here.

calm

Outfit · sectionFill · comfortable

Room to breathe. Nothing competes for attention.

editorial

Fraunces · inkFill · editorial

Type carries the page. Sharp corners, generous measure.

energetic

Bricolage Grotesque · sectionFill · compact

Colour forward, tight rhythm, nothing precious.

technical

Space Grotesk · inkFill · compact

Cool ground, exact edges, no warmth to soften a fact.

playful

Baloo 2 · softFill · comfortable

Round everything. The one mood allowed to be soft.

The six rules

1

Una tinta

One ink

Outlines and wordmarks always use Ink.

2

Un fondo

One ground

Cream is the house ground; Paper is the bright sheet.

3

Un trazo

One stroke

One stroke weight across the family, with round caps and joins. The heaviest mark sets the weight and every other mark follows it.

4

Silueta primero

Silhouette first

If it dies at 16px it is not a mark.

5

Tres + uno

Three plus one

Ink, Cream and Gold stay constant; each character adds exactly one signature hue.

6

Un gesto

One gesture

The wordmark borrows a single curve from the mascot, and once borrowed that curve becomes the family’s type rule.
